Small corner watermarks: fix locally (and when you shouldn’t)

Demo screenshots and internal slides where a badge gets in the way — try WoDeTool’s on-device watermark repair. Don’t use it to “clean” someone else’s licensed art.

Draw the line first

A tool can erase a patch of pixels. It does not grant commercial rights. Stock photos, brand marks, and licensed assets with watermarks aren’t a tech puzzle; they’re a copyright one.

Reasonable use: your own product demos, whiteboard shots, internal doc figures where a UI badge distracts. Keep those inside the team.

Small badges vs busy texture

Tiny marks on flat or blurry backgrounds usually behave. Heavy mesh logos across a face often look smeared. Crop the clean region when you can. Full-frame repair on dense texture needs low expectations.

WoDeTool runs in the browser — you’re not shipping the original to a random “remove watermark” cloud. Retry the selection a few times; if it still looks fake, recapture or use a cleaner source.

After the fix

Compress before upload if you need to. Upscaling a repaired patch can amplify the smear — for bigger exports, prefer a higher-res original without the mark.

Before anything public: do you have rights to a clean version? If not, don’t publish.
